FAQ's

Q -WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?
A -We begin processing our orders in January for shipment during that same calendar year. The earlier you order the better your chances of getting your first choice in size or variety. We accept orders at any time of the year.

Q -HOW DO I ORDER?
A -You may order securely on line by simply clicking on any picture that you are interested in. This will take you to the webpage of that specific variety. A detailed description is listed and ordering options can be found in the drop down menu boxes. Click on the package size you prefer and the shopping cart program will step you through the remainder of the process. In addition, on our ordering page you can download our printable order form to be filled out manually and then mailed or faxed in.

Q -WHEN WILL MY CREDIT CARD BE BILLED?
A -Credit cards are not charged until time of shipping. Please double check to make sure the credit card you are using will not expire before your shipping date.

Q -WHEN WILL MY BULBS BE SHIPPED?
A -We try to schedule shipping after the last frost date. If you live in an "unusual" temperate zone or have a greenhouse you can request a ship date to fit your schedule. Please be aware that we do not refund or replace orders shipped early at the customers request.

Q -WILL I HAVE TO DIG MY BULBS UP?
A -Most places north of central Florida should dig the bulbs up.

Q -HOW DEEP DO I PLANT THE BULBS?
A - The bulbs should be planted only 2-3 inches under the soil from the topside of the bulb. The deeper they are planted the long they will take to emerge.

Q -HOW FAR APART DO I PLANT THE BULBS?
A -Depends on the size of the bulb and the fullness you are wanting. Please visit our planting page for more specific information.

Q -WHY ARE THE BULK BOXES CHEAPER THAN THE COUNTED BOXES?
A -Bulk boxes are cheaper because they do not have to be hand counted. We simply fill those boxes as full as we possibly can.

Q -CAN CALADIUMS BE PLANTED AS HOUSE PLANTS?
A -Yes caladiums can be used as houseplants, but they will require a lot of light. Caladiums will "reach" for the light when they are in need and this generally tends to make the plant become overly tall and leggy.

Q -MY CALADIUMS HAVE A SEED POD (BLOOM) ON THEM. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?
A -When the seed pod appears if you do not like the looks of it you can cut it off at ground level without hurting the bulb. Removing the bloom redirects that energy back into leaf production.
