The map below lists the approximate dates when we feel it is safe to begin shipping to the designated areas. IT DOES NOT REPRESENT PLANTING TIMES. Planting should be done when night time temperatures are staying consistently above 65 degrees. All orders shipped early at customer’s request will not be replaced or refunded for any reason.
For shipping costs, add the appropriate percentage to the order subtotal:
$1 - $45.99 = $8.75
$46 - $100 = 20%
$101 + = 18%
All orders will ship UPS or USPS at our discretion. Should you prefer one carrier over the other additional shipping costs may occur. We will contact you prior to finalizing the order if additional costs are to be incurred. We will not bill any additional shipping costs without your consent.
Shipping to US zip codes in the lower 48 only.
Orders to Hawaii, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico or Alaska, please contact us for shipping charges.
If you would like to receive your order on or by a specific date, please tell us that date in the "special instructions" portion of the online order process. Please feel free to also mention to us dates that are not good delivery dates (i.e. vacations, extended absences from home, or medical recuperation time ...etc). Orders that do not list a delivery date will not be refunded shipping costs if the order is returned or cancelled due to delivery date conflicts. Should spring seem to arrive early we will gladly ship ahead of schedule with a call or email requesting such. We do not ship early based on a few warm days in early spring as we cannot possibly gauge the weather in your particular area.
Caladiums may be planted during the spring and all throughout the summer months. We begin shipping in February and are usually sold out by August. Caladiums are easy to grow, but they do require warm weather to germinate, therefore, shipping to northern states will be delayed until the warmer months. If you wish to plant your bulbs in a temperature controlled environment such as a green house before the weather is warm, please indicate when you would like to receive them and we will gladly ship them to you. However, we cannot be held responsible for any frost damage to your bulbs during shipping and we do not replace or refund orders that are shipped early.
Please open your order immediately upon arrival and inspect for problems or discrepancies. Unsatisfactory orders will be picked up and a full refund issued as long as we are notified within 10 days of receipt. For a concern about no growth we will not issue refunds any sooner than 10 weeks after bulbs have been planted in appropriate conditions and temperatures.
Caladium World's policy is that we can reship an order 2 weeks after Caladium World is notified that the box has not been received. This will give us time to investigate the missing shipment. Customers who do not want to wait the 2 weeks can purchase another order. If the original order shows up, you will have double orders. Caladium World will not refund the 2nd order if both orders are received. If the original order does not show up, after the 2 weeks from notification, Caladium World can either reship the original order at no cost to the customer or a refund will be issued for the original order. Please note that we ask our customers to be pro-active about your shipment, call UPS, go to the Post Office and check. Your tracking information was issued to your via the email that was sent from our packing house at the time of shipping. If you do not have the tracking information you can call us and we will provide the numbers to you.
